International Conference in Montréal - Day 2 - Cultural Tourism: Trends and Strategies

    MONTREAL, Sept. 30 /CNW Telbec/ - The media is invited to the
international conference entitled Cultural Tourism: Trends and Strategies, on
Tuesday, September 30 at 9 a.m., at the Montréal Science Centre. This event
will examine the trends and major issues affecting cultural tourism on a
global scale.
    Organized by Pointe-à-Callière, the Montréal Museum of Archaeology and
History, and the Montréal Science Centre, the event is being held under the
aegis of the International Council of Museums and its Committee for Education
and Cultural Action (ICOM/CECA).

                With Glenn Lowry, Director of The Museum of Modern Art,
                New York, Catherine Guillou, from the Musée du Louvre, Paris,
                Michèle Canto, from the Canadian Museum of Civilization,
                Gatineau, and John Porter, from the Musée national des
                beaux-arts du Québec, Québec City.

    10:50 a.m.  Strategies for Dealing with Demand from Tourists

    2:00 p.m.   Canadian Educational and Cultural Action Experiences

    3:45 p.m.   Publication launch
