Three date North American tour launched in Canada to promote new album
TORONTO, Feb. 18 /CNW/ - The Prodigy announce three exclusive dates
across North America in promotion of their fifth studio album Invaders Must
Die to be released on the band's imprint Take Me To The Hospital through
Cooking Vinyl. The band, who has sold over 16 million albums worldwide, will
perform its first tour date on March 25, 2009 at Toronto's Kool Haus.
During recent months The Prodigy have been tearing up summer festivals
with their blistering live performances and a December UK Sold Out Tour. They
have just returned from Australia's Big Day Out, Singapore and Tokyo and now
have their eyes set on North America.
Three live dates in North America will take place this March:
March 25 - Kool Haus - Toronto, Canada
March 26 - Roseland - New York, NY
March 28 - Headlining Ultra Festival WMC - Miami, Florida
The Prodigy is one of the most iconic acts of the 90s rave and punk era.
With a history of dance floor favourites and music chart toppers under their
belt like 'Outer Space', 'Everybody In the Place', 'Charley Says',
'Firestarter' and 'Smack My Bitch Up', there is worldwide anticipation for
their fifth album due out March 3, 2009.
"The Prodigy are back and they are here to dig up your dancing soul.
Lock up EVERYTHING" - Clash (February 09)
"The Prodigy can fairly be described as the techno equivalent of U2 or
Oasis." - The Independent, live review (xxxx)
"As devastating as you could hope for" - Mixmag (February 09)
Now, on Invaders Must Die, Liam Howlett, Keith Flint and Maxim all
feature on the album for the first time since the release of Fat of the Land
in 1997. The resulting sound is back to their bone shaking best; a collision
of old skool rave noise with the stratospheric limits of new technology.
