    TORONTO, Sept. 24 /CNW/ - Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be
held before a Hearing Panel of Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of
Canada (IIROC), on Monday October 6, 2008 at IIROC, 121 King Street West;
Suite 1600, Toronto, Ontario, Boardroom 2, at 10:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter
as the hearing can be held, to hear an interlocutory motion in the matter of
Paul Van Benthem and Anthony Petriccione.

    The interlocutory motion is for orders:

    (a) adjourning the hearing in this matter sine die; and

    (b) adjourning all other dates fixed by the Hearing Panel in its decision
        dated June 4, 2008, sine die,

    pending the determination by the Ontario Court of Appeal in the matter of
Stephen Taub v. Investment Dealers Association of Canada et al.
    The IDA formally initiated the investigation into the Respondents'
conduct on May 26, 2005. The alleged violations occurred when the Respondents
were Registered Representatives with the Toronto Branch of First Associates
Inc., (now Blackmont Capital Inc) and the Toronto Branch of Raymond James Ltd.
The Respondents are no longer registrants with an IIROC regulated firm. The

    The hearing is open to the public, unless the Hearing Panel orders
otherwise. The Hearing Panel's decision and reasons on the motion will be made
available to the public.
