    VANCOUVER, July 17 /CNW/ - Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be
held before a Hearing Panel of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada
("IDA"), on August 20, 2008, at Reportex Agencies, 925 West Georgia Street,
Suite 1010, Vancouver, BC, at 10:00 am or as soon thereafter as possible, to
hear evidence and submissions in the matter of John Anastasious Collias (the
    The hearing concerns matters for which the Respondent may be disciplined
as a Registrant of the IDA, pursuant to Part 10 of IDA By-Law 20.

    The hearing relates to allegations that:

    1.  On or about May 14, 2008, the Respondent having been until April 2008
        an Approved Person employed by Gateway Securities Inc. (Gateway
        Securities), refused and/or failed to attend and give information in
        respect of an investigation being conducted by the IDA, contrary to
        IDA By-law 19.5 and/or 29.1.

    The Investment Dealers Association of Canada formally initiated the
investigation into the Respondent's conduct on September 7, 2007. The
violations occurred when the Respondent was a Registered Representative with
the Vancouver Branch of Gateway Securities. The Respondent is no longer
employed in the industry in a registered capacity.
    The hearing is open to the public, unless the Hearing Panel orders
otherwise. The Hearing Panel's decision and reasons will be made available to
