Imperial Oil report highlights 2006 citizenship performance

    CALGARY, Oct. 4 /CNW/ - Imperial Oil released its 2006 Corporate
Citizenship Report, A Partner in the Community. Key accomplishments
highlighted in the report include:

    -   Improving energy efficiency in refineries by four per cent compared
        with 2002 and by 16 per cent compared with 1994
    -   Identifying new ways to engage and strengthen relationships with
        local communities on long-range development plans
    -   Contributing more than $12 million to support over 400 community
        initiatives across Canada
