Imagine a week without violence

    October 15 to 20, 2007

TORONTO, Oct. 11 /CNW/ - YWCA Toronto is inviting communities to consider
the impact that violence has on the lives of women and to imagine peace,
security, and dignity as we celebrate the 11th annual Week Without Violence
from October 15 to 20, 2007. Through a series of free workshops, panels,
seminars and musical events, we are encouraging young women to learn to
recognize the signs of violence in their lives. Activities will focus on
violence in popular culture, peaceful conflict resolution, self-care, self
reflection and how to speak about violence. We will give young women the tools
to address violence in their own lives and in the lives around them.
