Idaho General Mines Appoints Gregory E. McClain as VP Business Development and Marketing and Andrew Russell as VP of Project Development

    LAKEWOOD, COLO., September 5 /CNW/ - Idaho General Mines (AMEX:  GMO)
announced the appointment of Gregory E. McClain as Vice President Business
Development and Marketing. In this position, Greg will be responsible for
interacting with potential customers and strategic partners. Greg was most
recently an Executive Vice President of Fabricated Products, Inc., a wholly
owned subsidiary of the Doe Run Resources Corp. Previously, Greg oversaw the
global marketing of Doe Run's concentrates and by-product metals. Earlier in
his career, Greg worked in a variety of positions where he developed and
modified steel alloys. Greg has a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical
Engineering and a Masters of Science in Engineering Management from the
University of Missouri at Rolla.

    Bruce D. Hansen, Chief Executive Officer, said, "With the Mt. Hope
Bankable Feasibility Study now in hand, we need to progress our discussions
with strategic partners as well as potential customers, many of whom have
indicated an interest in long-term off-take arrangements. I am extremely

    Additionally, Idaho General Mines has promoted Andrew Russell to Vice
President of Project Development from Director of Projects and Operations.
Andrew has been with Idaho General Mines over the past year leading the Mt.
Hope and Hall-Tonopah project development. Prior to joining Idaho General,
Andrew served as a contractor for the Company since 2005, providing technical
support and market research.
