GATINEAU, QC, Jan. 29 /CNW Telbec/ - Hydro-Québec is pleased to
contribute $90,000 to the Fondation du Centre hospitalier Pierre-Janet in
Gatineau, whose focus is mental health.
Hydro-Québec's financial commitment extends over a three-year period, on
the basis of $30,000 per year. The funds will mainly be used to set up a
community integration program for people with significant mental illnesses.
This social reintegration initiative is an innovative project in the Outaouais
region, making it possible to offer some 24 dwellings to patients who will be
supervised by a team of experts.
The Foundation's mission is to raise funds for the Centre hospitalier
Pierre-Janet to meet three major objectives: promote mental health, develop
research in this area, maintain and enhance services.
Supporting organizations which are dedicated to the well-being of Québec
society is a fundamental value that runs throughout our history. In this way,
Hydro-Québec's donations and sponsorships contribute to the success of
numerous projects involving social, cultural, environmental and economic
endeavors in all regions of Québec.
