MONTREAL, May 12 /CNW Telbec/ - Hydro-Québec is very happy to renew its
partnership with the Montreal International Music Competition, whose this year
edition will be devoted to voice. The competition, which runs from May 18 to
28, 2009, will take place in Salle Pierre-Mercure at Centre Pierre-Péladeau
and in Théatre Maisonneuve at Place des Arts.
The Montreal International Music competition aims to recognize
excellence, providing an opportunity for gifted young artists to showcase
their talent in major musical venues. Its objective is to discover, reward and
assist young singers, violinists and pianists who distinguish themselves
through the mastery of their art.
Through its association with this high-profile artistic event since 2002,
Hydro-Québec contributes to the development and reputation of our culture, in
Québec and abroad. Every year, Hydro-Québec participates as a partner in a
great variety of cultural activities. Its ongoing partnership with the
Montreal International Music Competition is in keeping with the company's
commitment to culture and sustainable development.
Make way for the talent of tomorrow!
