TORONTO, Feb. 9 /CNW/ - As the unemployment rate in Ontario hits an
all-time high, JVS Toronto will continue to do what it does best: help people
On Tuesday, February 10th, at JVS' Employment Resource Centre in North
York, people needing jobs are encouraged to come to a free job fair to meet
with nine companies that are presently hiring. Employers include Investor's
Group, Toronto Fire Services, and Nexicore.
"JVS has been around for over 60 years, and with this current employment
crisis, we've had to adjust. Now, we help our clients think creatively, work
their networks, and re-focus their efforts. We are connecting with
"recession-proof" employers, but we'll definitely need to increase our
employer partners as our client lists grow," says Jo-Anne Cameron, Manager of
the Employment Resource Centre at Atria, the host of Tuesday's job fair.
