TORONTO, Oct. 11 /CNW/ - Radio stations in the Greater Toronto Area are
asked to please pass along the following information to the general public:
Humber River Regional Hospital's Church St. and Keele St. sites, located
near Highways 400 and 401 in Toronto, are experiencing land line telephone
problems due to an external cable cut. Bell Canada is aware and is working on
the problem. Cell phone access is not affected.
Anyone attempting to call into Humber's Church or Keele sites will get a
busy signal. It is not known at this time how long this problem will last.
Families can be assured that patient care is not affected and the
hospital's on-call procedures for physicians and staff is functioning. The
hospital is able to call out to families in emergency situations.
