Hudak promises cuts four times larger than Mike Harris

PCs admit they have no plan to govern

TORONTO, May 29, 2011 /CNW/ - Today Tim Hudak released a platform document that his own Campaign Director admitted at a secret briefing is "not a comprehensive plan to govern."

In fact, the document released by the PCs includes cuts four times deeper than those promised by Mike Harris and, even after those cuts, still includes a huge $10 billion hole that will lead to even more cuts.

According to another senior campaign official at the same secret briefing, the PCs are trying to distract voters because they know they are "not going to win on health care," and that "every day we talk about education is a good day for the Premier."

Ontarians know the only one way to fill a hole that deep is through painful cuts to health care and education -- and it is clear the PCs want to cover up those cuts.

The PC platform includes no plan to create jobs.  In fact, their only plan for jobs is to kill tens of thousands of them in the private and public sectors.

Given what they're saying behind Ontarians' backs, it's clear that the PCs plan to say one thing during the election and another if they're allowed to govern.

Their reckless platform is nothing but a thin smoke-screen for their real agenda: a return to the dark days of cuts, chaos and conflict in Ontario.
