Howard, Middaugh, Martin and Gushue to Compete at Casino Rama Curling Skins Game

TORONTO, June 19 /CNW/ - Among them they have 2 Olympic medals, 5 World
titles, 7 Brier championships and 11 TSN Curling Skins Games victories. They
are some of the biggest names in men's curling history. And they'll go
head-to-head in December, as TSN today announced the lineup for the Casino
Rama Curling Skins Game featuring the popular rinks of Glenn Howard, Wayne
Middaugh, Kevin Martin and Brad Gushue.
The popular made-for-TV original TSN production will air live on TSN
December 8 and 9 in three, 3-hour telecasts.
The Casino Rama Curling Skins Game is an annual all-Canadian event
featuring 4 invited Canadian men's rinks competing for a total cash purse of
$100,000 (Cdn) plus additional prizing. Casino Rama will build a curling rink
exclusively for the event in its 5,000-seat world-class Entertainment Centre.
This marks the first time a Canadian casino has staged a curling event
and represents the first year of a three-year partnership between TSN and
Casino Rama.
This year's star-studded field of competing rinks features:

Glenn Howard (Ontario) - 2007 has been a good year for Glenn Howard. The
34-year veteran curler claimed his third Canadian championship in February and
went on to the World Curling Championships in Edmonton where he lost just one
game en-route to his third World title (World and Canadian champion: 2007,
1993 and 1987). Howard is no stranger to Skins curling, having won $77,200 in
the 2001 TSN Skins Game.

Wayne Middaugh (Ontario) - Wayne Middaugh is the most successful curler
in TSN Curling Skins history having been a member of 7 championship rinks.
Middaugh has also won 2 World championships and 2 Canadian titles (1998 and
1993) throughout his 28-year career.

Kevin Martin (Alberta) - The defending TSN Skins champion, Kevin Martin's
successful career includes silver medals at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games and
1991 World Championships, 2 Canadian titles in 1997 and 1991, and 3 TSN Skins
championships (2004, 1998, 1997).

Brad Gushue (Newfoundland) - Gushue will forever be remembered for
winning a gold medal at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin, marking
Canada's first men's gold in the sport since curling's addition to the Games
in 1998. Gushue is considered the rookie in this experienced field, as the
Casino Rama Curling Skins Game is his first appearance ever in a Curling Skins

Ticket sales, along with further details of the event format and
broadcast schedule will be announced in September. In the meantime, fans can
