LONGUEUIL, QC, Jan. 20 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain
Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) and the Ministère des Transports du Québec
(MTQ) wish to inform the public that traffic on the Honoré Mercier
Bridge will run on two lanes towards Montreal and on one lane towards
the South Shore tonight January 20 starting at 7 PM until Friday
January 21 at 9 AM.
The complete closure of the upstream bridge with one lane against
oncoming traffic (one lane in each direction) on the downstream bridge
will not be necessary tonight due to the progress of the surveying work
carried out last night. However, the Ministère des Transports du Québec
will take advantage of the scheduled closure to carry out maintenance
work on the concrete slab. This work requires the closure of a single
lane towards the South Shore from 7 PM until 9 AM. No closures are
required towards Montreal. Traffic will likely be disrupted in the
evening from 7 PM to 11 PM towards the South Shore.
Please note that the Airlie ramp will not be closed for this occasion.
