Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. Preliminary Results from the Northern Fox property

VANCOUVER, Oct. 22 /CNW/ - Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. (TSX-V: HPY) (the
"Company") has received partial results from field work conducted during
August, 2007 on the northern portion of Company's 100% owned Fox
tungsten-molybdenum property, located approximately 30 kilometres east of the
former Boss Mountain molybdenum mine, in the south central Cariboo, B.C.
Exploration of the northern portion of the 225 square kilometre Fox
property was focused on the Ridley Creek area, approximately four kilometers
north of the Nightcrawler and Discovery tungsten-molybdenum zones, where
drilling is currently underway.
Several new outcropping zones containing scheelite (tungsten mineral) and
molybdenite (molybdenum sulphide) were discovered during 2007. Assays have
been received for one of the new tungsten skarn zones:

                     Sample No. Width(m) Tungsten W %
                          4405 0.4 1.560
                          4406 0.3 0.300
                          4407 0.3 4.080
                          4408 0.2 1.890
                          4409 0.3 5.640
                          4410 0.2 5.140
                        493124 1.0 0.110

Samples 4405-4410 are from a gently dipping quartz garnet-pyroxene skarn
bed exposed on surface for approximately 7 metres and remains open in extent
beneath metasedimentary rocks and glacial till. This zone occurs on the
northern side of the same garnet-bearing quartz monzonite intrusion as at the
Nightcrawler-Discovery zone. These samples were taken systematically from
around the outcrop and are believed to be near true width, and mineralized
widths remain open in extent. Sample 493124 is located approximately 500
metres southwest. Other new zones containing tungsten and molybdenum were
located and approximately 30 line-kilometres of soil geochemical survey
completed over the area. Results will be released on receipt of assays.
Results to date suggest the Ridley Creek area is the northern
continuation of the Nightcrawler-Discovery tungsten-molybdenum zone.
The remaining samples shipped August 27th are just beginning to be
processed by the lab, and a similar turnaround time is expected at the lab for
current drill core samples.
