Contest offers participants a chance to win $250 and the opportunity to see their cards in Hallmark stores across the country.

TORONTO, Feb. 2 /CNW/ - Think you can tickle Canada's funny bone? If so, take note: Hallmark Canada's humourous greeting card contest - "Now That's Funny, Eh" - has officially kicked off.

For the very first time, Hallmark Canada is giving the public a chance to access their inner comedian. All you have to do is take a funny photo, pair it with a witty caption, and turn it into a hilarious birthday card. Then, simply submit your masterpiece online at www.hallmarkcontests.ca for a chance to become a Hallmark star!

If you've been sitting on a goofy photo or bursting to tell a good joke, now is your chance to showcase your talents. All winners will receive $250 and serious bragging rights when their birthday cards hit store shelves across Canada.

"We are very excited to launch Hallmark Canada's first greeting card competition," says Chris Kelly, Vice-President, Consumer Solutions and Brand Experience, Hallmark Canada. "This is a great way for people to express their sense of humour & creativity, and we're thrilled to give the public an opportunity to buy the winning cards in hundreds of Canadian stores that sell Hallmark products."

The contest begins January 31, 2011 and wraps up on March 25, 2011. Check out www.hallmarkcontests.ca for more information and visit Hallmark Canada's Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/HallmarkCanada to keep on top of exciting contest developments!
