Groupe Orléans Express - Groupe Gaudreault, transaction confirmed

    MONTREAL, Sept. 4 /CNW Telbec/ - Groupe Orléans Express inc. has
confirmed that it has obtained all of the necessary authorizations from the
regulatory authorities and organizational entities involved in transportation
for the acquisition of select assets of Groupe Gaudreault for urban and
intercity transportation, charter coach transportation, and for select
contracts in the school transportation sector.
    Groupe Orléans Express inc. will now play a pivotal role in personal
transportation in Quebec and in Canada with a fleet of 375 vehicles and 800
employees. "Effective immediately, we are taking over all of the activities of
Lanau Com, Lanau Mécano, Les Transports Fagnant, Sabem, Autobus Lachenaie and
Autocars Murray Hill, as well as the majority of Lanau Bus operations. This
purchase represents enormous potential since we are adding to our current
intercity and charter consumer services, as well as to our contract operations
in the urban and school sectors," declared Groupe Orléans Express inc.

    Furthermore, Groupe Orléans Express is proud to announce that Mr. Denis
Andlauer, who until now handled operations for Réseau de transport de la
Capitale (RTC) in Québec City, will take over operations for the new assets
acquired by Groupe Orléans Express inc.. Mr Andlauer has sound experience in
the public transit service industry, and his arrival at Groupe Orléans Express
is a definite asset. His offices will be located at 1 500 rue Raymond
Gaudreault in Repentigny.
