Groundbreaking ceremony at Stonehaven Manor & Apartments - Allegro Residences announces the investment of 14.7 millions dollars for the expansion

    KANATA, ON, Sept. 2 /CNW Telbec/ - Mr. François Courtois, Vice-President
of Operations of the Allegro Residences network, was pleased to officially
announce this afternoon the investment of over 14.7 million dollars for the
expansion of the Stonehaven Manor & apartments Retirement Residence.
The expansion project calls for the addition of 53 units over 4 floors,
and will cater to independent seniors. "In light of the fact that there
remains a shortfall of available apartments for retirees, that the residence
has established a solid and enviable reputation in its market; the realization
of this project is a given", declared Mr. François Courtois. The units in this
new phase will be roomy, consisting of one bedroom and one bedroom + den
apartments to two-bedroom apartments. They will all feature balconies,
kitchenettes (kitchenettes in 1 - bedroom, full kitchens in 1 - bedroom + den
units and 2-bedroom units) and air conditioning. The new phase will connect to
the current building and will allow the creation of additional underground
parking. The expansion will bring new common amenities to the existing
building: a separate entrance with a lounge area, a multi-function room, a
bistro/Internet/library room, a health center including spa, massage and
pedicure rooms, fitness/yoga room, ancillary changing rooms and showers and
on-site laundry.
In all, the Stonehaven Manor & apartments expansion project features all
benefits one would expect when seeking "Undivided Attention": plenty of room
and a variety of services providing maximum comfort and security to its
clientele. Delivery of the first units is expected in the summer of 2010. Once
the expansion project is completed, Stonehaven Manor & apartments will offer
189 units for seniors in the Kanata area.

Stonehaven Manor & apartments' groundbreaking ceremony was held on
September 1st, 2009 from 2 to 3:30 pm. Representatives from Allegro Residences
were joined by the community, dignitaries, residents and staff to celebrate
the announcement.
