Greenpeace tour to expose the greenwash of the Green Energy Act

TORONTO, Feb. 24 /CNW Telbec/ - Greenpeace executive director Bruce Cox
kicks off a 10-city tour of Ontario Thursday to promote nuclear-free solutions
to climate change and to expose the greenwashing of Ontario's proposed Green
Energy Act.
On the speaking tour, called "Climate Solutions: Nuclear Lies-Green
Truths," Cox will make the case for solutions to climate change that are
nuclear-free. Cox will show how the McGuinty government's nuclear agenda
blocks the development of green energy.
"The McGuinty government cannot have a serious green energy agenda when
it is firmly committed to having 50 per cent of generation coming from nuclear
power," said Cox. "It is greenwashing to say you support green power when
you're spending billions on nuclear."

Editors: Tour locations are: Peterborough, Lindsay, London, Hamilton,
Sault Ste Marie, Sudbury, Belleville, Kingston, Waterloo, and Guelph.
