Golden Band Resources corporate update: Hires investor relations firm

    SASKATOON, Sept. 4 /CNW/ - Golden Band Resources Inc. (GBN:TSXV)
announced today the appointment of Frank Hrdy as Vice President Exploration.
Mr. Hrdy originally joined Golden Band in January 2007 as Mineral Resources
Manager. In his new role, that became effective on September 1, 2007, Mr.
Hrdy's expanded responsibilities include technical and scientific oversight
for the Company's exploration and exploration-development projects.
    Golden Band also announced today the engagement of Motivia Communications
Inc. as the firm's strategic investor relations and communications agency.
Golden Band Resources will pay Motivia a monthly fee of $5,500 for
professional services and has granted 40,000 stock options to Motivia. The
contract is for a one-year term. The stock options vest half immediately and
half in six months time, have a term of five years, and have an exercise price
of $0.48. Motivia holds no interest, directly, or indirectly in Golden Band
Resources. One managing director of Motivia holds shares in Golden Band but
has a position less than 1% of the total shares outstanding. This agreement is
subject to acceptance by the TSX Venture Exchange.
    Golden Band also announced today the appointment of Gary Leland as
Corporate Secretary, effective September 1, 2007. Mr. Leland remains the
Company's VP Finance and Administration and CFO.
