TORONTO, Nov. 15, 2007 /CNW/ - It's beginning to look a lot like
Christmas with many events taking place in Toronto this weekend. This Sunday,
November 18, GO will offer additional train service on the Lakeshore lines to
help customers get where they need to go, whether it's to see Santa Claus, the
Argos vs. the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at the Rogers Centre, or the Raptors vs.
the Golden State Warriors at the Air Canada Centre.
In addition to regular hourly service, GO will run extra trains from
Oshawa and Aldershot GO Stations. An additional train will leave Oshawa at
10:11 a.m., arriving at Union Station at 11:07 a.m. Another extra train will
leave Aldershot at 10:38 a.m., arriving at Union Station at 11:37 a.m.
GO will also add two trains to help get customers home after these
afternoon activities. The times for the extra trains will depend on when the
parade, basketball, and football games finish. They will leave Union Station
starting at approximately 4:20 p.m.
GO Bus connections to Lakeshore West train service will be available
between Aldershot GO Station and Hamilton GO Centre. Lakeshore East bus
connections will be available from Oshawa GO Station through to Newcastle.
GO monthly pass holders can take advantage of an offer that will save
money: they can bring a companion with them on weekends for free! This
incentive has been available to monthly pass holders for the past several
years, but with so many upcoming weekend events GO would like to remind
customers of this great opportunity.
