TORONTO, Aug. 27, 2008 /CNW/ - GO Transit will be adding extra train
service for The Canadian International Air Show, Celebrating Freedom Through
Flight, on Labour Day weekend.
From Saturday, August 30 to Monday, September 1, in addition to regular
Lakeshore hourly trains, extra inbound trains making all stops to Exhibition
will leave Oshawa GO Station at 10:11 a.m. and 11:11 a.m., and Aldershot GO
Station at 10:38 a.m. and 11:38 a.m. Extra outbound trains making all stops,
will leave Exhibition for Oshawa GO Station at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and
for Aldershot GO Station at 5:19 p.m. and 6:19 p.m. There will be no bus
connections for the extra trains. With the exception of the extra trips,
Monday's train and bus service will run on a Holiday schedule.
For customer convenience, tickets for the CNE can be purchased at Union
Station or any Lakeshore line GO station. GO Transit reminds all adult monthly
pass holders that they can take one companion on the train or bus for free on
weekends and Labour Day Monday.
