GL&V Awarded New Large-Scale Contracts Worth More Than $37 Million in the Global Ore Processing Market

MONTREAL, March 22 /CNW Telbec/ - (Note: All amounts are expressed in
Canadian dollars unless otherwise indicated.) GROUPE LAPERRIERE & VERREAULT
INC. ("GL&V" or "the Company"; ticker symbols GLV.A, GLV.B/TSX) announces that
over the past few weeks, its Process Group (which includes Dorr-Oliver Eimco's
worldwide operations and those of the newly acquired Krebs International) has
been awarded several large-scale contracts worth over $37 million in the
global metal and ore processing industry. All of these orders are scheduled
for delivery in 2007, except for two contracts to be delivered in 2008.
Dorr-Oliver Eimco notably received orders totalling close to $12 million
in emerging markets in China, India, Indonesia and the Middle East, and others
totalling more than $7 million in Latin America. The other contracts recently
awarded to Dorr-Oliver Eimco are in the United-States, Canada, Mexico, Russia,
Portugal and Africa. Among its largest orders are four contracts worth a total
of approximately $15 million for the delivery of several flotation cells and
related equipment to producers based in the United-States, the Middle East and
Furthermore, Krebs International has received large-scale orders
totalling some $6.5 million to deliver "hydrocyclone" liquid/solid separation
systems, "millMAX" slurry pumps and various equipment to ore producers located
primarily in Australia and the United States.
Richard Verreault, President and Chief Operating Officer of GL&V,
indicated that there are still many new infrastructure projects in the global
ore processing market. The Process Group should continue to benefit from such
activity in the coming quarters, especially since the acquisition of Krebs
International, last December, provided it with complementary technologies for
which the demand is growing. "The Process Group aims to rapidly maximize the
commercial and technological advantages arising from the combination of
Dorr-Oliver Eimco's and Krebs' product lines in order to position itself as a
provider of comprehensive solutions for this booming industry worldwide."
