GFG appoints Leonard Schuman as President of egX Markets Inc.

    VANCOUVER, March 8 /CNW/ - Global Financial Group (GFG) appoints Leonard
(Len) J. Schuman to its executive team. Mr. Schuman will be the new Vice
President of Global Strategies for GFG and President of egX Markets. A veteran
of the financial markets, Mr. Schuman brings to the Company a wealth of
knowledge through 30 years of global industry experience regarding the
implementation, business development and trading activities associated with
both electronic and over the counter markets for securities and derivatives.
    "Mr. Schuman's vast experience in the international financial industry
and global exchange operations provides the Company with significant
advantages as we prepare to deploy our systems to launch egX Canada,"
commented Mr. Leo Chamberland, President and CEO of Global Financial Group.

    Mr. Schuman resides in West Orange, New Jersey, USA. Previously,
Mr. Schuman worked with OMX following OMX's acquisition of the Markets
Technology Group of Computershare, where Mr. Schuman was a Senior Sales
Executive. His previous positions include President of the US operations for
the Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX America), a wholly-owned US / New York
subsidiary of SGX and Executive Director of Strategy and Business Development
for the International Petroleum Exchange of London (IPE). In both assignments,
Mr. Schuman was involved in the start-up of the US / New York operations for
the SGX and IPE. Earlier employers also include Conoco, Cargill and Clarendon
    Throughout his 30 years in the financial markets, Mr. Schuman has
concentrated on increasing the growth and global aspects of business through
alliances, partnerships and sound business relationships and practices.
Mr. Schuman possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry (cum laude,
City University of New York) and an MBA in Marketing and Finance (magna cum
laude, Fairleigh Dickinson University). He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa
and numerous industry organizations. Mr. Schuman also served as an adjunct
Professor in the Finance Departments for both Rutgers and Fairleigh Dickinson
Universities where he developed a graduate school course in Financial Futures
and Options.

Inc., is developing the egX, a global securities exchange system designed for
the listing and trading of real estate securities. The Company's goal is to
provide investors with a regulated, transparent and liquid marketplace for
