Genesis Land Development Corp. donates $62,000 to help Calgary families

Funds to be distributed through the Canadian Red Cross as part of flood relief efforts

CALGARY, July 25, 2013 /CNW/ - As part of its efforts to support families struggling to rebuild their lives after the devastating floods, Genesis Land Development Corp. is contributing $62,000 to the Canadian Red Cross, a trusted organization spearheading the relief efforts. More than $12,000 of that total was donated by Genesis employees.

"Many of the families affected by the disastrous flooding are facing the daunting task of rebuilding their lives," says Bruce Rudichuk, President & CEO of Genesis Land Development. "While the money is desperately needed, we also want to send the message that they are not alone. Their community is standing right beside them."

Genesis Land Development has been building homes in the City of Calgary and surrounding areas for more than 22 years.

"Special thanks go out to our construction partner Borger Group for lending their manpower and trucks to residents in need during the first week of flood recovery," adds Rudichuk.
