General Motors of Canada establishes Raydan as authorized ship-thru facility

    EDMONTON, April 16 /CNW/ - Raydan Manufacturing Inc. (TSX-V:RDN)
announced today that Raydan's eastern and western manufacturing facilities
have been approved to have GM medium duty trucks ship-thru these facilities to
install the Link(R) UltraRide(R) rear air suspension for GM dealers. Raydan's
Air Link(TM) rear air ride suspension has also been approved for installation
on the 8500 series tandem trucks on a ship-thru basis.
"Raydan has been working closely with GM to establish a ship-thru
relationship," stated Ray English, President & CEO. "Raydan's goals included
expansion into eastern Canada, Canadian distribution rights for the Link(R)
UltraRide(R) suspension and NSM registration with Transport Canada. Achieving
these goals contributed to receiving ship-thru status," he concluded.
By offering an air ride suspension to their customers, GM adds value to
their fleet of trucks. As an authorized ship-thru facility, Raydan ensures
that all GM vehicles are upfitted consistently to GMs high quality standards.
The UltraRide(R) is a complete rear air suspension system designed to
improve the comfort and stability of light and medium duty trucks in most
conditions, including heavy loads and severe driving. It is a total conversion
to air spring suspension that replaces the standard leaf spring suspension
system. Emergency service vehicles, buses and recreational vehicles all
benefit from the UltraRide(R) suspension.
Raydan's patented Air Link suspension will be available on a ship-thru
basis into GMs 8500 series of tandem axle trucks. The unique combination of
air ride and walking beam technology offers high roll stability, lower
maintenance costs, reduced impact damage and a smooth ride. The Air Link(TM)
has gained strong market recognition and critical acclaim worldwide.
More than 3,000 medium duty GM trucks are sold annually giving Raydan the
opportunity to capture the marketplace and substantially increase suspension
sales. Ship-thru status with GM offers an exciting future for Raydan.
