Gemini and NRG Shareholders Approve Arrangement

    VANCOUVER, Oct. 2 /CNW/ - Gemini Energy Corp. (TSX:GNI) ("Gemini") and
NRG Investments Inc. (CNQ:NRGI) ("NRG") announce that they each held a meeting
of shareholders today to consider certain resolutions relative to the
arrangement between the parties announced in news releases of May 22 and
September 4, 2007. At the meetings, the arrangement was approved by the
shareholders of both companies, in accordance with the requirements of the
Business Corporations Act (British Columbia) and applicable securities
regulatory policy. A hearing before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, at
which Gemini will seek final Court approval of the arrangement, has been
scheduled for October 18, 2007.
    Gemini and NRG also announce that they have entered into an agreement to
extend the deadline for Gemini shareholders to deposit Transmittal Letters and
Elections Forms with Computershare Investor Services Inc., the Depositary
under the arrangement, in order to elect to receive cash or NRG shares in
exchange for their Gemini shares, in accordance with the terms of the
