Gary Howsam cleared of all charges by U.S. Attorney's Office

Howsam and legal team comment on the dismissal against the entertainment

TORONTO and LOS ANGELES, April 29 /CNW/ - Established film producer and
former CEO of Peace Arch Entertainment Group Inc., Gary Howsam commented today
on the U.S. Government's dismissal of all charges against Mr. Gary Howsam. Mr.
Howsam issued the following statement:

"Today, I am thankful the U.S. Government has dropped the charges against
me. Dealing with this matter has been most difficult.

For eighteen months, my family and I have fought to clear my name and
reputation against the false allegations leveled against me. I am deeply
saddened by the impact that this incident has had on my family, my
associates and my former colleagues. I'm thankful that I have finally
    been cleared of these charges.

There are a number of individuals whose commitment and support has been
unwavering. First and foremost, I want to thank my family for their
never-ending love and enduring their own pain as a result of these
circumstances. In particular, I wish to acknowledge my wife Brenda and my
children Meryl, Josh and Jessica, without whose support I don't know how
    I would have survived this.

I also wish to extend my most sincere appreciation to my legal team, led
by attorney Donald Randolph, with attorney Greg Spano and associate
Brittany Howe, for their tireless work and valued counsel."

I cannot thank enough the many friends and business associates who
supported me and gave me encouragement during these difficult times.

I have faced personal and professional challenges as a result of this
ordeal; however, I'm happy now to put this matter behind me and channel
my energies and passion back into my work."

Mr. Donald Randolph, one of Howsam's attorneys, also responded to the
dismissal of charges:

"It is a very rare event for the U.S. Attorney's Office to move to
dismiss an indictment after 18 months of litigation," said Randolph, lead
attorney for Howsam, of Randolph & Associates in Santa Monica,
California. "However, in this case, the government agreed to carefully
review the compelling evidence uncovered by the defense investigation
showing that the accusations against Gary Howsam were false.

I applaud the prosecutors for their willingness to step back and re-
evaluate the case in light of this new evidence. We trusted in their good
faith by partially showing our hand before the trial. Our trust in their
    integrity was clearly well-founded.

We have asserted Gary's innocence from the beginning, and we are
gratified that he has been cleared of all charges. Dismissal was the
    right result."
