Future Shop founder appointed new chairman of The Fraser Institute's board of trustees

    VANCOUVER, April 19 /CNW/ - Hassan Khosrowshahi, founder of the Future
Shop chain of electronics retailers and chairman of Inwest Investments Ltd,
was appointed chairman of The Fraser Institute's board of trustees at the
organization's annual general meeting Wednesday.
    Khosrowshahi, who has been a member of the Institute's board since 1993,
succeeds Ray Addington, OBE, who stepped down as chairman after a
distinguished tenure of 22 years.
    Khosrowshahi is currently chairman of Inwest Investments Ltd, a company
that develops and manages real estate in British Columbia and the U.S. Pacific
Northwest and invests in royalties in the pharmaceutical industry.

    The Fraser Institute is an independent research and educational
    organization based in Canada. Its mission is to measure, study, and
    communicate the impact of competitive markets and government intervention
