Future Shop is working to help consumers make a difference to the
environment this year through a number of green initiatives running in
their stores nationally
Future Shop will donate $50 from each energy-efficient washing machine
purchased in April to the David Suzuki Foundation
Since 2008, Future Shop has kept 300,000 lbs of electronics out of
BURNABY, BC, April 19 /CNW/ - Future Shop, Canada's largest retailer and
e-tailer of consumer electronics, is proud to announce the continued
success of its 'green' initiatives implemented as part of its
commitment to making a difference to the environment.
This year, Future Shop will donate $50 from each energy-efficient
washing machine purchased in April to the David Suzuki Foundation.
Additional consumer initiatives include Flip Your Phone, which allows
consumers to receive a Future Shop gift card in exchange for their old
cellular phone, and the Trade & Save program, which gives customers a
chance to recycle DVD movies and receive a $5 coupon towards over 150
Blu-ray titles and a variety of savings on ENERGY STAR home theatre
products. In addition to providing simple green actions for customers
to follow, Future Shop has also deployed a training tool to help
associates nationally learn how they can become greener in their
