New lounge provides travelers the ultimate in technology, comfort and

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Oct. 30 /CNW/ - Comfort has just taken on a whole new
meaning with the opening of a new business lounge in Terminal 1 at Toronto
Pearson Airport on November 1, 2008. In partnership with the Greater Toronto
Airports Authority (GTAA) and Plaza Premium Lounge, Samsung Electronics Canada
has provided its innovative and stylish technology products to a new lounge in
Toronto Pearson Airport. The space will incorporate Samsung's signature
products that will make travel - both business and consumer - easier and more
"Canadians are busier than ever and need options that will support their
hectic lifestyles, even while traveling," says Ron Hulse, vice president, IT
marketing, Samsung Electronics Canada. "This new lounge offers the most
up-to-date, technologically-advanced products that will support connectivity,
whether it's for business or personal reasons."
Visitors to the Toronto Pearson Lounge can expect to have full, wireless
internet access as well as the use of Samsung printers, monitors, and more. As
well, travelers can kick back and relax while watching the latest game or
business reports on one of two sleek 52" Touch of Colour flat-screen TVs. The
Samsung products that will be available in the lounge include:

    - T220 Touch of Colour monitors

    - CLX-6210FX Colour multifunction printer

    - ML-4551 Monochrome printer

    - 400DXN 40" Large Format Display departure screens

    - 52" Touch of Colour 6 series LCD TVs

With more than 1200 flights arriving and departing Toronto Pearson on any
given day, the new GTAA lounge will provide a welcome oasis in an otherwise
busy terminal. In 2007 alone, 31.5 million passengers went through Toronto
Pearson, with two-thirds of those passengers passing through Terminal 1.
"The GTAA is very pleased to have Samsung Electronics Canada as a partner
on this lounge at Toronto Pearson. Passengers will have the option of relaxing
in this new and innovative space when travelling through Terminal 1 at Toronto
Pearson no matter which airline they are flying with," says Steve Shaw, vice
president, marketing and business development with the GTAA.
The Toronto Pearson Lounge is based on a "pay-as-you-go" model, with each
visit costing $35.00 CAD. This price provides the visitor with full access to
the products and services, including unlimited food and beverages. The latter
are supplied by Plaza Premium Lounge, a partner of the GTAA. Travellers are
also able to purchase an annual membership of $399 per year, which offers
unlimited access to the full range of products and services available in the
lounge. Businesses are able to pass on a corporate benefit to employees as
well by providing them with passes to the lounge. These passes have no expiry
date, so employees can use them whenever it suits their travel schedules.
"We're excited about this partnership with the GTAA and the opportunity
it provides to support Canadians on their various journeys," continues Hulse.
"Whether they need to send a quick email home or a report to their boss or
they just want to enjoy a relaxing drink and refreshments before their long
flight, the new lounge will allow them to go about their business in comfort
and style."
