Flint Energy Services Ltd. Announces Management Changes in Transportation, Tubular Management and Manufacturing Operations

    CALGARY, Aug. 30 /CNW/ - Flint Energy Services Ltd. ("Flint") announced
today that it has reorganized its Oilfield Transportation, Tubular Management
and Manufacturing operations in Canada with changes in the management team and
reporting structure. Effective August 15, 2007 Shawn Carry has been appointed
Vice President of Transco Energy Services Ltd. (Transco), Flint's Oilfield
Transportation operating segment, and will report directly to Bill Lingard,
President and CEO of Flint. David Kastelic, currently Vice President of
Tubular Management and Manufacturing, will continue in that role and also
report directly to Bill Lingard. At the same time Flint announced the
retirement of Tim O'Brien, Senior Vice President of Transportation, Tubular
Management and Manufacturing, effective October 31, 2007.
    Shawn Carry, who came to Flint with the Transco acquisition in December
2006, has over 20 years of experience in the transportation business starting
with Joyline Inc., a private trucking operation that was acquired by Transco
Energy Services Ltd. in 2004. Shawn has held several management positions
including President Joyline, Controller Joyline and VP Tubular Management
Flint. He is well respected by customers and employees for his knowledge and
reputation in the oilfield transportation sector.
    Flint's Oilfield Transportation operating segment (Transco), offers
drilling and service rig moving, off road transport, light hauling, and
specialized heavy module hauling services to Western Canadian oil and gas
producers. The Oilfield Transportation operating segment will continue to use
the name Transco in Alberta and Saskatchewan, and the name MPO (Mighty Peace
Oil) in British Columbia, combined with the Flint arrowhead logo.
    David Kastelic, who joined Flint in April of this year, brings over    
25 years of experience in energy pipe and tubular services. David holds a
Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and received his
CMA designation in 1983. He has held several senior roles including COO FI
Oilfield Services Canada Ltd., President Premium Pipe Services Ltd. and CFO
Slurry Cementers Limited. He is very well known in the industry and has been
involved in a number of industry associations, including Past President of the
Edmonton Oilfield Technical Society.
    Flint's Tubular Management and Manufacturing operations provide a full
range of services for drill pipe, production tubing and rods including
inspection, repair, refurbishment, linings, couplings, premium threading and
storage throughout Western Canada. Flint's Global Poly Systems, the
polyethylene pipe manufacturing and sales company, is also part of this
    Bill Lingard said, "I am very pleased to have Shawn Carry and Dave

in each. During the last nine months Tim O'Brien has played a very important
role leading the integration of Transco for Flint. He will continue to assist
Shawn and Dave during the next couple of months as he transitions to
