VANCOUVER, Sept. 20 /CNW/ - Firesteel Resources Inc. is pleased to
announce that assay results from the second phase of its 2007 diamond drilling
program indicate strong copper and gold mineralization at its Copper Creek
Project. This project is located approximately 60 km north of Telegraph Creek
in north western B.C. Firesteel has now drilled 25 holes into this property, 4
of which were drilled in the first phase of its 2007 diamond drilling program
earlier this year.
The objective of this drilling program has been to identify a higher
grade zone within the large porphyry copper mineralized body.

    Drill Hole No. 2007-1:

It was planned to extend hole No. 2007-1 beyond 110 metres as the assays
for the last 10 metres were 0.41% copper and 0.29 g/tonne gold. However
drilling difficulties forced the hole to be twinned from 43 metres to
100 metres. The analytical results are as follows:

              From (m) To (m) Interval (m) Copper (%) Gold (g/t)

              43.28 95.09 51.81 0.22 0.11
              95.09 110.33 15.24 0.73 0.51

As shown in the above table, the hole bottomed into strong mineralization
values of 0.73% copper and 0.51 g/tonne gold over a 15 metre interval.

    Drill Hole No. 2007-2:

Hole No. 2007-2 was extended from 52 metres to 133 metres with analytical
results as follows:

              From (m) To (m) Interval (m) Copper (%) Gold (g/t)

              52.43 69.18 16.75 0.48 0.21
              69.18 110.33 41.15 0.26 0.13
             110.33 133.19 22.86 0.46 0.27

As shown in the above table, this hole also bottomed in good
mineralization values of 0.46% copper and 0.27 g/tonne gold over a 23 metre
interval. As with Drill Hole No. 2007-1, drilling was discontinued due to
drilling difficulties. Firesteel intends to extend drilling this hole later
this season.

    Drill Hole No. 2007-4:

Hole No. 2007-4 was collared at the same location as hole No.2007-1 and
No. 2007-2 at an azimuth of N 45 degrees W and pitch of 80 degrees with
analytical results as follows:

              From (m) To (m) Interval (m) Copper (%) Gold (g/t)
              3.04 28.04 25.00 0.47 0.24
    Including 14.38 28.04 13.66 0.74 0.32

As shown in the above table, this hole bottomed with strong values of
0.74% copper and 0.32 g/tonne gold over a 14 metre interval. Based on these
strong mineralization values Firesteel plans to extend this hole to
250 metres, possibly during the current drilling season.

Firesteel is a junior exploration company engaged in the minerals and the
oil sands businesses. It explores for and develops quality precious and base
metal prospects in British Columbia, the NWT and Mexico and oil sands
