Fathers of Israel's kidnapped soldiers speak in Toronto

    TORONTO, Nov. 20 /CNW/ - The fathers of two kidnapped Israeli soldiers,
who have not been heard from since their abductions, nearly a year and a half
ago, will be speaking at a Toronto community event, Wednesday, November 21st
from 7 pm -8:30 pm at Shaarei Shomayim Congregation (470 Glencairn Ave, east
of Bathurst).
    32 year old Ehud Goldwasser and 27 year old Eldad Regev were kidnapped
from within Israel's borders by Hezbollah on July 12, 2006. Their kidnappers
have denied International Red Cross access to their captives.
    Their fathers, Shlomo Goldwasser and Zvi Regev will talk about their
efforts to secure their son's freedom and what the kidnapping has meant to
their families. Also featured will be recorded remarks by Ehud Goldwasser's
wife, Karnit.
    Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev were kidnapped a month after 21 year old
Gilad Shalit was seized by Hamas, also, within Israel's borders, near the Gaza
    The program is being sponsored by a coalition of nearly 100 community
organizations, led by, among others, UJA Federation of Greater Toronto,
Canadian Jewish Congress, Canada Israel Committee and B'nai Brith Canada.
