Advisors have to do with a farm stress line? The Ontario Farm Line has
organized a one-day conference being held on April 5 in Kemptville and the
theme of the day is sound financial management helps producers stay in control
of their future. The Canadian Association of Farm Advisors (CAFA) Inc. is
dedicated to assisting farm families and farm businesses and encourages
producers to seek training and to seek professional advice. CAFA believes in
the importance of the work the Farm Line is doing and is pleased to be a
sponsor of the Kemptville conference.
In interviewing Donna Hastings, co-founder of CAFA, she said "The reason
why we created our non-profit association was to ensure that farmers get the
right advice from the advisers who work with them. So recently, when I read
the Farm Line press release that quoted their statistics about farmers who
call the Farm Line saying they got into bad financial situations because they
were unable to find trusted financial and business advice - well, that was it.
It was a 'no brainer' that CAFA should be one of the sponsors of their
