TORONTO, March 2 /CNW/ - Launching Canadian table wine on to the world
stage, the recent release of Le Clos Jordanne wines in Ontario and Quebec has
captured both national and international attention. Heralded as "the future of
Canadian wine," Le Clos Jordanne's 2004 vintage Pinot Noir and Chardonnay
wines have earned "Oscar-style" reviews, including an unprecedented front page
story and six page spread in this month's LCBO Vintages magazine.
On Tuesday, March 6, 2007, connoisseurs of fine foods and beverages are
invited to experience a rare sampling of the full portfolio of Le Clos
Jordanne wines, led by Thomas Bachelder and Isabelle Meunier, senior
viniculturist and associate viniculturist at the Niagara-based winery. To
showcase the exceptional wines, the Clos Jordanne team has been working with
the culinary experts at Truffles to create a dinner menu that will complement
each of the nine Le Clos Jordanne wines exquisitely.
Executive Chef, Robert Bartley, Truffles Chef, Lora Kirk and Sommelier,
Sara D'Amato are now delighted to present a feast for the eyes and tastebuds
that will include Black Cardamom Smoked Salmon, Goat Cheese Parfait, Pickled
Cucumber and Seared Beef Tenderloin, Pancetta, Cremini Mushrooms and
Bourguignon Jus, to name just a few of the delectable treats that will partner
the Clos Jordanne wines.
The dinner will be preceded by a special reception at 6:30 p.m at
Truffles Restaurant, located on the 2nd floor of the Four Seasons Hotel,
Toronto, and dinner will start at 7 p.m. The cost per person is $175.00,
excluding taxes and gratuities and guests are advised make their reservations
as soon as possible, as seating is limited.
