MONTREAL, Jan. 20 /CNW Telbec/ - Everything is set for the 28th fête des Neiges de Montréal as Parc Jean-Drapeau gets ready to welcome
visitors Saturday for the first of three straight weekends of winter
festival fun. The recent stretch of cold weather, combined with some
fresh snow, has provided a nice, final touch to the layout of a unique
site that kids of all ages will enthusiastically rediscover.
Come and meet the event's spokesperson, comedian Yan England, the mascot
Boule de Neige and their many friends and enjoy the array of free
outdoor shows and activities.
Some of the activities awaiting visitors this weekend include:
The Superglisse, whose departure point is 15 metres high
The zip line that is close to 80 metres long
The skating path along the riverbank
The ice-hockey rink
L'Allée carnavalesque, carnival alley and its skill-testing games
A barrel-jumping demonstration by Sylvain Leclerc
Outdoor shows by Théo the puppet, Arthur l'Aventurier and the rock
group Les Flowkonz
And you can also rent skates, luges and snow scooters on site.
Getting to the site is so easy by taking the subway to the Jean-Drapeau
station! To find out about all of the details regarding the La fête des
