    Dove Self-Esteem Fund launches initiatives to combat unhealthy self-
    esteem with the help of a revered panel of experts

    TORONTO, Oct. 1 /CNW/ - The Dove Self-Esteem Fund is hosting its first
Self-Esteem Summit on October 1, gathering a compelling panel of North
American experts to explore the state of self-esteem in young girls today and
provide parents and mentors with insights and ideas on how to build the
self-esteem of girls in their lives.
    The Summit also marks the unveiling of a "Girls-Only" online space by the
Dove Self-Esteem Fund where girls aged 11-16 can learn about and explore the
world of beauty, body image and self-esteem in an interactive and inviting
    The "Girls-Only" online space is being amplified through two new viral
videos to be launched at the summit, which are a follow-up to the
internationally recognized "Evolution" viral video launched in 2006. As well,
the Fund will unveil its pilot Girls for Girls Mentorship program with a local
high school.

    Summit Details:

    What: A gathering of self-esteem experts and unveiling of new tools,
    resources and programs by the Dove Self-Esteem Fund to combat unhealthy
    self-esteem in young girls.
        -  Photo opportunities in a unique setting, representative of
           Hollywood converging with young girls and interview opportunities
           with experts outlined below.

        -  Moderated by internationally acclaimed self-esteem expert of with
           Jess(TM) and regular contributor to the Tyra Banks Show,
           MaryKateandAshley.com and future columnist for Seventeen Magazine,
           Jessica Weiner
        -  Panelists include; Lisa Naylor, counselor and health educator;
           Debbie Gordon, media literacy expert; Merryl Bear, director of the
           National Eating Disorder Information Centre and Alison Leung of
           the Dove Self-Esteem Fund

    When:  Monday, October 1, 2007
           11am: Panel discussion and unveiling of viral videos and online
           12pm: One-on-one interviews with panelists
            1pm: Live Real Beauty Workshop by Jessica Weiner with students
                 from Henry Street High School
