VANCOUVER, Jan. 18 /CNW/ - Silverado Gold Mines Ltd (Trading Symbols, OTC BB - SLGLF, FRANKFURT - SLGL, BERLIN - SLGL): The Company has completed a $250,000 EH&S program at its Nolan Gold Mine situated 280 road miles from Fairbanks, Alaska. The program consisted of road upgrades, the construction of a new drinking water well and state of the art waste water treatment package plant designed to serve the needs of a full crew of 24 mine personnel. Also included in the program was the installation of modular kitchen and dining facilities and drinking water tankage capabilities that assure the protection of the health and safety of mine personnel. This completes a multi year effort that began with the design and construction of a permafrost resistant fuel tank farm and appurtenant facilities all covered under an approved Spill Planning Control And Countermeasure Plan.
