Énergie Bellator announces firm reservation on Hydro-Québec TransÉnergie system to sell green power in New York City

MONTREAL, Nov. 15, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - 9249-0416 Quebec Inc. is pleased to announce its reservation for 1000 MW of firm point-to-point electricity transmission service for 43 years, starting in 2015, on the Hydro-Québec system, under TransÉnergie's Open Access Transmission Tariff. This reservation, for wheel-through service from the Ontario/Quebec intertie to the proposed Champlain-Hudson Power Express line (CHPE) in New York State, is first in the queue for the delivery path leading into the proposed CHPE line.

9249-0416 Quebec Inc. is in the process of changing its name to Énergie Bellator Inc.

Énergie Bellator Inc. will aggregate green energy generated from wind, solar, biomass and low-impact hydro sources in Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes across Quebec. It will wheel this energy across Quebec, through New York State, to deliver it to the New York City region.
