Emirates-CAE Flight Training orders two CAE full-flight simulators valued at C$25 million

MONTREAL, Sept. 24 /CNW Telbec/ - (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) - CAE has signed
a contract to design and manufacture two full-flight simulators (FFS) for
Emirates-CAE Flight Training (ECFT) valued at over C$25 million at list
prices. This brings the total FFS sales that CAE has announced in fiscal 2008
to 18.
Emirates-CAE Flight Training is expanding its aviation training facility
in Dubai with the addition of a CAE 7000 Series Bombardier Global Express and
a CAE 5000 Series Hawker Beechcraft Hawker 800 XPi full-flight simulator. This
is part of CAE's broader business aviation training network expansion
announced earlier today. Both simulators will feature the CAE True(TM)
Electric Motion System, as well as CAE's next-generation visual solution,
including the new CAE Tropos(R)-6000 visual system and Liquid Crystal on
Silicon (LCoS) projectors. The CAE 5000 Series FFS for the Hawker 800 XPi will
be the first 5000 Series FFS designed and manufactured for that aircraft type.
CAE launched the new 5000 Series FFS earlier this year.
"Emirates-CAE Flight Training is the leading flight training facility in
the region for both commercial and business aviation operators, and we're
pleased ECFT continues to expand with CAE's true fidelity simulation
equipment," said Marc Parent, CAE's Group President, Simulation Products and
Military Training & Services.
Emirates-CAE Flight Training is located close to Dubai International
Airport and is jointly operated by the Emirates Group and CAE. Approved by
both the JAA and the FAA, the facility offers training to commercial airlines
and business aircraft operators in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia.
The 14-bay centre currently houses 10 full-flight simulators: two Airbus
A320/ACJs, an Airbus A330/340, a Boeing 777, two Boeing 737 NG/BBJs, a
Gulfstream IV and a Gulfstream V/550, a Hawker 800/800XP and a Bell 412
helicopter simulator. The new Global Express and Hawker 800 XPi FFSs, which
will be delivered to ECFT in the second half of 2009, will bring the training
centre to a total of 12 CAE-built FFSs in operation.
