DARTMOUTH, NS, June 4 /CNW/ - Elliott Payzant, vice chairperson of the
South Shore Regional School Board (SSRSB), was re-elected president of the
Nova Scotia School Boards Association (NSSBA), at the Association's 53rd
annual general meeting, June 1st at the Pictou Lodge Resort. This will be his
second year serving as NSSBA president.
The former educator and school board member of 13 years is very excited
to lead the NSSBA executive for another year. "Partnerships are a key
ingredient in education. Working together, the NSSBA along with the Department
of Education and other provincial education partners share one common goal -
to continually raise the bar for public education in our province," says
Payzant. "This year, the NSSBA and our partners created a rewarding and
diverse learning experience focusing on youth in skilled trades."
