Drilling underway at Copper Ridge's Lucky Joe Cu-Au project

VANCOUVER, June 12 /CNW/ - Copper Ridge Explorations Inc. ("Copper Ridge"
or the "Company") announces the commencement of a 2000 m drilling program on
its 100% owned Lucky Joe project, located 40 km south of Dawson City, Yukon
Territory. The target at Lucky Joe is a metamorphosed porphyry deposit or
possibly a variety of IOCG (iron oxide copper-gold) deposit as defined by two
large copper-gold soil geochemical anomalies and coincident geophysics. The
Bear Cub Zone is 11 km in length and the nearby Ryan's Creek zone is 7 km in
length. The current drill program will focus on the Ryan's Creek trend.
Late in the 2006 season, one drill hole was completed at the southern end
of the Ryan's Creek trend. Hole LJ06-09 intersected strongly to moderately
altered schist through most of its length. A mineralized zone consisting of
trace to 2% chalcopyrite and trace to 2% pyrite was encountered between 48 and
91 m. Within this zone, copper values up to 0.76% over 3.05 m and gold values
up to 3.24 g/t over 2.4 m were encountered. Significant mineralization from
the 2006 drill hole is summarized as follows:

           From (m) To (m) Interval (m) Copper (%) Gold (g/t)
             50.90 62.95 12.05 0.37 0.80
    Includes 57.00 62.95 5.95 0.50 1.50
    and 57.00 60.05 3.05 0.76 0.38
    and 60.05 62.45 2.40 0.17 3.24

Drilling in 2007 will initially focus on the northern end of Ryan's
Creek. This trend extends for over 4,500 m in strike length and is defined by
a strong copper-gold anomaly in soils that is coincident with an IP
chargeability anomaly and the northern edge of a linear magnetic anomaly. For

Mr. J. Greg Dawson, P.Geo., Vice President of Exploration for Copper
Ridge, is the Qualified Person for the Lucky Joe project.
At the Company's Copper Ace project, adjacent to the Gibraltar copper
mine in central British Columbia, the drill program nears completion with over
2,000 m of core drilling completed to date.

Copper Ridge's exploration philosophy focuses on maximizing the potential
for success in a high-risk business. With grass roots mineral exploration,
where the entry cost is low but the potential reward can be very high, success
will be contingent on exploration skill and on carefully managed risk. Our
management team brings tenacity, technical skill and experience, all crucial
ingredients for discovery. By exploring a broad array of projects, focusing on
the right commodities, in areas of high mineral potential, in mining-friendly
jurisdictions and by sharing the risks on some projects with joint venture
partners, Copper Ridge is exposing its shareholders to a greater chance for
discovery. The Company is well financed for the 2007 field program on its
Yukon and British Columbia properties.
