Dr. Eric Hoskins wins Liberal nomination in St. Paul's

    TORONTO, Aug. 12 /CNW/ - Dr. Eric Hoskins, a practicing physician,
dedicated community activist and advocate, has been nominated as the Liberal
candidate in the provincial riding of St. Paul's.
    "I am honoured to have been chosen as the Liberal candidate, and to build
on Michael Bryant's great work and representation in the riding," said Dr.
Hoskins. "Charles Finlay and Judith Moses are exceptional, accomplished
individuals, and Liberals in St. Paul's had a very difficult choice tonight. I
look forward to campaigning on the McGuinty government's record - acting
responsibly to address current economic challenges, while continuing to
strengthen our public services."
    Dr. Eric Hoskins is the co-founder of the charity War Child Canada, and
has done humanitarian work as a doctor in international war-torn regions. He
has received numerous awards and accolades for his humanitarian work around
the globe, and is an Officer of the Order of Canada. He currently practices
medicine in Toronto. Dr. Hoskins is married to Dr. Samantha Nutt, and they
have a four year-old son, Rhys.
