Downtown traffic will be rerouted on monday, october 1st - For the launch of Centraide of Greater Montreal campaign 2007

    Business leaders as well as arts and sports personalities will join the
    thousands of volunteers, donors and agency representatives marching to
    demonstrate their solidarity with our neediest fellow citizens.

    MONTREAL, Oct. 1 /CNW Telbec/ - On account of Centraide's March of 1,000
Umbrellas, which kicks off Centraide of Greater Montreal's 2007 Campaign,
kindly note that on Monday, October 1st. St. Catherine Street will be closed
to traffic, between McGill College Avenue and Jeanne-Mance Street, as follows:


    McGill College Avenue (west side), between President Kennedy and St.
    Catherine streets, will be closed to traffic from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
    St. Catherine Street, between McGill College Avenue and St. Urbain
    street, will be closed to traffic from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. There will
    be no parking along this route from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. As well, there
    will be no parking on the east side of Jeanne-Mance Street, between St.
    Catherine Street and de Maisonneuve, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

    IMPORTANT: While informing your audience of these changes, don't miss the
    opportunity of inviting them to join the some 10,000 marchers who will
    participate in this colourful event! Everyone will start to assemble at
    11:30 a.m. on McGill College Avenue at the corner of St. Catherine
    Street. The march will begin at 12:00 noon and proceed to Complexe
    Desjardins for the unveiling of the campaign objective.
