Douglas Willock provides update to shareholders of Polar Star

TORONTO, Feb. 25 /CNW/ - Douglas Willock today released the following
"On February 24, 2009, I was served with a notice of an application filed
by Polar Star Mining Corporation. The allegations set out in this application
have no merit whatsoever and are part of a continuing effort by certain
members of the board and management of Polar Star to disregard the clear
intentions of a majority of the shareholders. I have instructed my legal
counsel to respond.
In the interim, there has been no change to the date for the annual and
special meeting of shareholders of Polar Star of April 17, 2009. There has
also been no change to the record date of March 13, 2009, set for determining
shareholders of Polar Star entitled to vote at the meeting. As set out in my
press release of February 18, 2009, I intend to file an information circular
that will outline both my vision for the company and my nominees to the board
of Polar Star."
