Zellers Dorm Décor Tips
- Accessories add plenty of personal style and colour to a room:
cushions, vases, decorative storage pieces, and frames can add a
personal touch to a room without breaking any rules.
- A small, colourful area rug covers up standard issue institutional
- Since dorm rooms are often small, new bedding makes a big impact on
the decor. Students should look for bed-in-a-bag products that
include comforters, sheets and even throw pillows for an instant
- Look for pieces that do double duty, like CD cubes with built in
picture frames or storage ottomans that add style but are functional
- Remember furniture can be moved, especially the bed. If you have a
single room with a movable bed, put it against the wall and fill it
with some cushions to make a day bed. Put a little storage ottoman in
front of the bed and now you have seating and a coffee table!
- A small ottoman with storage and a built in tray is a great idea for
both seating and to keep clutter at bay.
- Invest in a good solid comforter or duvet cover, it can add a stylish
touch and you cannot put a price on a good nights sleep, especially
