Donat Flamand Collection: JELD-WEN receives Kitemark certification from the British Standards Institution (BSI)

QUEBEC CITY, Sept. 8 /CNW Telbec/ - JELD-WEN is proud to announce that
its Donat Flamand Collection products (series DF3103) have met all of the
necessary requirements and are now Kitemark certified for the British standard
BS7412: 2002.

Guaranteed quality and reliability recognized worldwide

This certification, awarded by the British Standards Institution (BSI) in
London, indicates that the products meet top standards for quality and
reliability. Indeed, Kitemark certification is one of the most respected
benchmarks of quality in the world, especially in the United Kingdom. It
appears on products across the globe, from firefighter's equipment in New
Zealand to construction products in the Middle East. In Canada, this
certification is comparable to that of CSA (Canadian Standards Association,
which sets the standards that companies must meet to be CSA certified).
"We are very proud of this accomplishment, because it shows just how
important product quality and reliability are to JELD-WEN. We would especially
like to thank our two suppliers, Royal window and door Profiles and Guardian
Industries Cover division, as well as CMHC-international (Canada Mortgage and
Housing Corporation), without whom this accomplishment would not have been
possible," declared Lisa Bergeron, Marketing Manager for JELD-WEN Canada.
JELD-WEN's initiative to seek out this certification was a voluntary decision
that testifies to the company's commitment to developing and maintaining the
highest standards of product quality and reliability. In fact, JELD-WEN sought
certification to better meet the needs of company customers that export houses
to the United Kingdom through CMHC-international's Super E program.

    Kitemark certification, a sought-after standard

British customers and retailers recognize and respect the Kitemark
symbol, since it guarantees a reliable product that is manufactured by a
reputable company. In addition, certified Kitemark products are subject to
regular inspections, ensuring that they always comply with the same high
standards. In the United Kingdom, 91% of people who recognize the Kitemark
label say that the certification is a guarantee of quality and 93% are
convinced that Kitemark certified products are more reliable.
