Domo Drilling at Igor Returns Positive Results

CALGARY, April 25 /CNW/ - Sienna Gold Inc. (SGP.V TSX Venture Exchange)
announces the latest drill results from the Igor property. Nine holes were
drilled on the Domo portion of the property targeting gold and silver
mineralization in a series of parallel mantos or beds. This drilling confirms
the tunnel sampling which was completed and reported in September of 2006.

    Latest Assay Results

The assay results for the Domo drilling are shown on the table below.

The holes were drilled in a 50 meter by 100 meter (approximate) grid
measuring 600 meters long by 50 meters wide. The gold bearing, mineralized
mantos replaced carbonaceous shale beds during mineralization and drilling
recoveries in the manto zones were variable up to 70 percent. The drill
cuttings were collected in portions of 5 holes and geochemically analyzed. The
table below shows results for cuttings that correlate to the manto areas in
the respective drill holes. This data shows that gold and silver was lost
during drilling and collected in the mud and cuttings, but there is not enough
data to back-calculate insitu grades.

Mud and cuttings significant assay values:
Hole Number Length Gold (gpt) Silver (gpt)
           5, 1st interval 0.44 9.1 34.2
           5, 2nd interval 0.39 2.2 8.1
           7, 1st interval 0.39 0.4 93.5
           7, 2nd interval 1.08 1.8 34.4

The Domo zone extends over an area approximately 700 meters by 100 meters
and the results reported in this press release are from the western half of
the mineralized target. The Domo mineralized zone begins on surface and there
is no overlying waste material.

    Porphyry Support

The anomalous values of lead and antimony measured in the drill samples
(up to 9.3% lead) with lesser anomalous values of zinc supports the Company's
belief that the Domo may overlie a significant copper porphyry system.
Additional geophysical and extensive surface sampling was recently completed
on the porphyry target at Igor and the Company is meeting with its consultants
to design expanded drill programs for both the Domo and porphyry targets.

    Pachin Alto

The Company is now drilling on the Pachin Alto concession. A second
geophysical (IP) program was recently completed and is helping position
several 400 meter deep holes that will test high sulfidation targets.

    Sampling Methodology

Cores taken from the diamond drill rig are stored in plastic core boxes
and transported to the camp site for detailed logging. When logged the core is
sent from the project site to the Company's secured site in Trujillo for
splitting with a diamond saw. One half of the split core is then sent to an
accredited laboratory in two meter sample lengths. The Company's independent,
qualified person has completed a chain of custody review to ensure the
integrity of all sample data.

    Assaying Methodology

The samples were analyzed by ALS Chemex Laboratories in Lima by
inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy ("ICP-AES") analysis
for silver and 33 other elements and a 30 gram fire assay technique for the
gold analysis. Samples which exceeded the detection limits were re-assayed
using a gravimetric fire assay technique. The specific procedures used by the
lab can be found in the company's 43-101 report on the Igor property.

Sienna Gold Inc. continues to explore in Peru for precious and base
metals. Its major projects are IGOR and Pachin Alto which continue to hold
management's attention and exploration direction.
