SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 29 /CNW/ -- DivineCaroline.com
(http://www.divinecaroline.com), the flagship site of Real Girls Media Network
(RGM(TM)) and one of the leading Web sites for women, has launched the Love!
This Site Awards to honor excellence in online women's lifestyle content.
Nominations are open to the public and early nominees include a range of
established sites and niche blogs including Huffington Post, Real Simple, Mom
Advice, and Tango Diva.
A total of eighteen winners will receive more than $4,000 in cash prizes,
as well as recognition on DivineCaroline.com, one of the Web's fastest growing
women's sites. One winner representing each of DivineCaroline's nine content
channels will be determined by the community's votes and nine Editor's Pick
winners will be selected by DivineCaroline's community and editorial staff.
"The Love! This Site Awards are a natural follow-on for DivineCaroline, a
site that gives real women -- not just bloggers -- the opportunity to publish
like real pros," said Kate Thorp, CEO and co-founder of Real Girls Media
Network. "We're here to raise the voice of all women, and we can't wait to see
what the community has to share and what sites it singles out." Thorp adds,
"As one of the few sites talking about every aspect of adult women's lives --
from relationships and style to careers and home life -- DivineCaroline is
honored to recognize the achievements of these influencers."
Community nominations and voting kick off today and end on November 30,
2008. Winners will be announced in early December. DivineCaroline members can
nominate and vote for a site by visiting the Awards page on DivineCaroline.com
(http://www.divinecaroline.com). Approved nominated sites will be given a
badge for their sites to encourage their readers to vote. Winners' badges will
also be distributed.
Membership is free, so to ensure the blogs and sites you love are
